The Shrine of Immaculate Conception

The Basilica of the National Shrine of Immaculate Conception (usually just called "The Shrine of Immaculate Conception") is located in Washington, D.C.

It is the largest Catholic church in the United States, the tallest building in Washington, D.C. (besides the Washington Monument), and is adjacent to Catholic University.  It is quite a remarkable building.

The sixth picture down is from a statue of Mother Teresa.  Mother Teresa had unique toes that crossed over each over.  I thought it was really fascinating that the sculptor captured that.
