Presidents James Garfield and Lyndon B. Johnson both attended the church at least occasionally. Matter of fact, President Johnson's State funeral was held there.
As you can see, it was a beautiful, bright (although humid) day in D.C. when I shot these pictures early last fall. Many of them are similar, but it is so hard to choose a favorite shot or angle.
In the first picture, you'll see the steeple of Luther Place Memorial Church on the right.
The final picture is of one of the stained-glass windows inside the church.
