Bridges

A few months back, I went to Amish Country.  While I was there, I photographed a couple of bridges (Amish Country is full of them!).  I've been meaning to do a post on them and I finally got around to it.

A lot of the shots are similar, but there isn't a ton of variation one can do with bridges.  Plus, sometimes it is just so hard to pick favorites!  In this case, there were some shots I loved both in color and in b&w/sepia, so I posted them all.  I hope you enjoy them!

Amish Country

I'm so sorry it has been so long since I've posted some pictures!  I've been working a particularly intense project at my "real" job (though, hopefully one day this will be my real job!) so I've been quite busy.  I'm still taking pictures every chance I get, I just have had a little less time lately to edit and post.

These samples come from a trip I took to Lancaster County -- better known as Amish Country -- a couple of weeks ago.  I absolutely loved Amish Country!

As you'll see by the many pictures, there were farmers markets, covered bridges, Amish cemeteries, and beautiful scenery.  You may also notice there aren't many pictures of the Amish themselves.  See, it is against the Amish religion to pose for photographs, so I tried to respect that and didn't try to take pictures of them except for when it is allowed (allowable times include: when they are working in their fields or drive past in a buggy, etc.).

I think the pictures turned out great.  Hope you enjoy them!
