Annapolis

I recently paid a visit to Annapolis, Maryland.

Annapolis is about 30 miles outside of D.C. and has a lot of history.
It was one of the nation's first capitals (before D.C.), it's where the Naval Academy is, and it is the home of the State House of Maryland which has a very long and impressive history.

The State House is where George Washington resigned his command of the Continental Army, where Thomas Jefferson was made the first ambassador of the United States, and where the Treaty of Paris was ratified (thus ending the American Revolution).

Here's a sampling of Annapolis.
