Civil War Festival

I recently attended a Civil War festival in the D.C. area.
It was definitely interesting to see so many people dressed in period costumes.  Thankfully, they were all very willing to let me take their picture!  I think I got some great shots that really showcase the clothing and the overall atmosphere.

Book shoot and Georgetown

I recently went to the Georgetown area of Washington, D.C. to shoot some objects for a book.  Yes, a book!  I was asked to photograph some objects for a book on ghost stories.  I'm very excited to be part of this project and look forward to seeing my images in an actual book.  How cool is that?

After taking pictures of the images that will be published in a forth coming book, I couldn't help but take more pictures of the house, neighborhood, and area I was in for this shoot.  The first three images are images for the up coming book and the rest are around Georgetown.  The last image is probably my favorite.  I love that you can see the reflection of the neighborhood in the shot.

Quantico

I recently went to Quanitco.  What is Quanitco?  Well, it's a Marine Corps. base.

In addition to the base, there's also a museum on the history of the Marine Corp. as well as Quanitco National Cemetery.  It was interesting to shoot.

U.S. Capitol Tour

I recently had the opportunity to go on a private tour of the U.S. Capitol (sometimes living in D.C. really has some perks!).  It was really neat.  It was interesting to see all of the beautiful areas of the Capitol and to photograph it with a lot of freedom.  I hope you enjoy the pictures!  The first shot was on a city bus on my way to the Capitol.  It was such an adorable scene, I had to capture it.

I know it has been a ridiculously long time since I posted some pictures.  I am so sorry!  Trust me, I wish I could be working more on my pictures and less on other things!

I've been swamped with work at a contract job, but that's ended recently, so I anticipate more time to be able to edit and post pictures.  I've done a few shoots lately that I'm anxious to edit and post, so please keep checking back in the days to come!
